Defining and Non Defining Relative Clauses


1. What is a relative Clause?

The relative clauses are phrases that put two sentences together and avoid repetition.

2. What is a Defining Relative Clause?

This kind of clause defines at the begining of the phrase, the person or animal that we are talking about and doesn´t need separation by commas.

3. What is a Non-Defining Relative Clause?

This clause, gives extra information about the person or animal that was defined or identified at the begining of the phrase, it needs commas, and doesn´t use the word "that".
